Abstract

A personal experience on the management of the overcrowding or waiting lists at the Primary Health Care Centers in Spain during the period 1983-90 is presented. Corrective measures were taken and enforced successively, in a precise orden, so that it led, at the same time, to development of Primary Health Care in the scheme of Alma Ata. A possible sequence of measures for the current case of Chile is suggested.
